Owned by Natalie and Joe Parks, the one-year-old business offers overnight boarding and day care for cats and dogs, as well as training and grooming.
“Our goal is to create a place that we would feel comfortable leaving our own pets, with clean facilities and trained staff and a veterinarian available on call,” said Natalie Parks.
Parks said the 3,500-square-foot facility offers plenty of room and toys for pets to play with and socialize. Playtime is interspersed with a quiet time in the middle of the day. One staff member is available for every 20 dogs.
“And our day care pricing, $10 a day, cannot be beat,” she said.
Parks said pets using day care must be neutered or spayed, and cameras are set up in the day care so owners can view them. Day care hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
Day care also is available to pets being boarded overnight at no cost. Boarding costs $35 per day for dogs and $20 per day for cats, according to Parks.
“Everyone here gets an executive suite,” she added.
Available suites include a 4-by-9-foot space or a 6-by-9-foot space with live webcams so pet owners can watch them from a mobile device or tablet for an extra fee. Cats get a multi-tiered “condo,” and “Tower Climber” time outside the condo is available.
Pets that do not or cannot attend day care (unsprayed or neutered or due to behavioral issues) are given two 20-minute one-on-one sessions at no additional cost.
Parks added that Posche Paws also offers home service for pets not suited to the boarding environment. That service includes walking, feeding and social interaction.
Posche Paws also offers grooming, according to Parks. Grooming services include baths, ear cleaning, nail clipping, flea and tick baths and removal, coat clipping and styling, deshedding baths, hair trimming around feet and pads, and dematting. Spa treatments include massages, blueberry facials and manicures.
Trainers at the facility also can help owners train new pets and address behavioral issues during a pet’s stay, and agility training also is offered.
Tours of the facility are available without an appointment during normal business hours, which are Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
