Another store is located at 28700 Chagrin Blvd. in Beachwood.
The electronics side of the business is 12 years old and sells high-quality audio/visual components, TVs and surround-sound systems for home theaters and entertainment rooms, according to Woods.
“We start with products that most big box stores call their top end items,” said Woods.
The Smart Home technology and equipment includes home security and camera equipment, and electronic controls for a variety of home functions.
A Smart Home can dim the lights as the opening credits roll in a home theater; turn off all the TVs in a house when children are supposed to be doing their homework; alert you if the garage door was left open and close it from an office computer; manage lights, window coverings and thermostats to reduce your energy bill; and monitor door locks, lights and security cameras, according to the company’s website.
In addition to selling the products, the business has design and installation expertise in both areas.
“We do custom installations, from simple hook-ups to complete design, and build projects in both new homes under construction and existing homes,” said Woods. “Our installers also take the time to show customers how to get the full use of all the features they are purchasing.”
Several years ago, Woods added furniture pieces designed to complement the entertainment rooms.
American Leather Furniture Galleries is 5,000 square feet and carries sofas, sectionals and chairs in leather or fabric, as well as specialty tables, TV stands, audio/visual furniture and room accents, all made in North America, according to Woods.
“We carry high-end, real leather pieces that are beautiful, unique products,” said Woods. “We can turn orders around in 24 hours and special orders in less than eight weeks.”
Store hours for both sites are Mondays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
