Owned by Ronald Buzek, Edward Morrison, Steven Shechter and Donna Syroid, the business is located at 300 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road. The four owners each have more than 30 years of experience in the industry, according to Rebecca Wojno, marketing and personal lines account executive.
Wojno said Evans Insurance offers a broad range of policies, including personal and business insurance, specialty services and coverage for truckers through Evans Insurance’s commercial lines division of its Groh Agency, which is a satellite business located in Dover.
Personal services include insurance plans for home, automobiles and recreational vehicles, and flood and umbrella insurance. Life and health insurance and other personal insurance plans also are available.
Specialty services cover areas such as property risk engineering, information technology protection consulting and the large loss immediate response program.
Wojno stated that several factors speak to the integrity of the firm, including its longevity, its independent agency status, its rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and its “Trusted Choice” designation.
Wojno noted that as an independent agency, Evans Insurance is focused on its customers, not a carrier.
“We are here to serve our clients, and our working relationship with them comes first,” she said. “We have life-long customers that have stayed with us because of the kind of service we provide and the buying experience we offer.”
Wojno said the agency has an A+ rating with the BBB, and it has not had a complaint in more than 20 years.
“Trusted Choice is an earned designation for insurance and financial services firms whose access to multiple companies and commitment to quality service enable us to offer our clients competitive pricing, a broad choice of products and unparalleled advocacy,” said Wojno.
Evans Insurance is a long-standing member of chambers of commerce in Akron, Fairlawn and Copley; AABOR (Akron Area Board of Realtors); Akron Rotary; KNOW (Knowledgeable Network of Woman); United Way; and several other local community and civic organizations, according to Wojno.
“We believe in supporting, participating in and hopefully enhancing the communities who support our business,” said Wojno.
