Infiniti of Akron hosts grand opening

GREEN — Infiniti of Akron hosted a grand-opening for its $5.5 million facility at 3332 S. Arlington Road Nov. 19.

The “Hollywood premiere style” event offered champagne, entertainment and Asian/American fusion cuisine prepared by chef Torsten Schulz, of Dante Boccuzzi Akron, for invited city and company officials.

Infiniti of Akron has a large selection of new and pre-owned Infinitis, as well as leases, and a service department with state-of-the-art technology, according to company officials. It offers customers free inspections and car washes.

The new building, which took seven months to complete, includes an advanced LED low-lighting system that is neighborhood-friendly, according to company officials.

Infiniti of Akron is part of The Collection Auto Group, a privately owned company by Bernie Moreno, according to the company website.

Business hours are Mondays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Discover Hartville Shop Hop, holiday event planned

HARTVILLE — More than 30 merchants from Hartville and Lake Township are scheduled to participate in the shopping experience Discover Hartville Shop Hop Dec. 6-7.

The Lake Township Chamber of Commerce member businesses will offer exclusive specials to Shop Hop ticket holders, including gift certificates, discounts on total purchases and more, according to Chamber officials. Antiques, home décor, artwork, jewelry and more will be available.

Shop Hop tickets are available for $5 at participating businesses in Lake and Downtown Hartville. Ticket buyers will be entered automatically into a special Discover Hartville prize drawing valued at $300. Also, Christmas Evening in the Village will take place Dec. 8 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in Downtown Hartville. According to Chamber officials, the holiday event will include a community tree lighting, Santa, Christmas storytelling, face painting, tree and basket auction, choirs, wagon rides, cookie baking and coloring contests, trains rides for children, food and more.
