TRN Financial Group opens local office

FAIRLAWN — TRN Financial Group, which specializes in the placement of positions within the accounting, financial and office marketplace, has opened its newest office location in the Akron area.

The new office, located at 2603 W. Market St., is TRN Financial Group’s second location. The firm also has a Fairview Park branch.

TRN Financial Group is an affiliate division of The Reserves Network, a provider of staffing services for the office, industrial, professional and technical markets. The specialty group was launched by The Reserves Network in 2012 as part of the company’s strategic plan to diversify its product and service offerings to customers.

Sheila Hurley will serve as division director for the new branch, and will be joined by recruiter Emily Davey. TRN Financial Group’s Akron and Fairview Park offices are led by Salvatore Bachman, area director, and the company’s specialty groups report to Brad Qua, senior vice president, specialty groups for The Reserves Network.

“We are thrilled to take the next step in growing our specialty divisions across The Reserves Network’s current footprint and beyond,” says Qua. “With the expansion into Akron, TRN Financial Group can now use both of its offices to serve the entire Northeast Ohio area. Park Subaru, Mobile Meals join forces

GREEN — For the sixth year, Subaru is celebrating its “Share the Love Event,” which began Nov. 21 and runs through Jan. 2. During the event, Subaru will donate $250 to one of five charities for every new car purchased or leased.

Park Subaru in Akron has partnered with Mobile Meals to raise awareness and help raise funds to provide home-delivered meals for people who are in need, said Phil Marcin, development director at Mobile Meals.

Employees at Park Subaru began delivering meals to the homes of Mobile Meals’ clients Dec. 9 and will continue delivering meals until Jan. 2, and they are looking for help. Anyone interested in helping to deliver meals can contact Taylor Tuohy at 330-436-0133 or taylor.tuohy@parkauto group.com.

The public also can support Park Subaru’s “Share the Love Event” and Mobile Meals by purchasing 50/50 raffle tickets for $1 each or $15 for 20 tickets. Fifty percent of the money will go to Mobile Meals, and the other 50 percent will go to the winner of the raffle. To purchase a raffle ticket, stop by Park Subaru and see the receptionist or send a check to 3363 S. Arlington Road, Akron, OH 44312, Attn: Park Subaru — Mobile Meals. Tickets may be purchased through Jan. 2.

The 50/50 raffle winner will be drawn the week of Jan. 6 and notified by phone. The winner will need to go to Park Subaru with valid identification to collect the winnings.

Charter One celebrates re-opening of its Montrose Acme seven-day branch

BATH — Charter One held a grand opening Dec. 14 to celebrate the renovation of its Montrose Acme branch at 3970 Medina Road.

According to company officials, the branch offers new features to enhance customer convenience, including 24-hour, seven-day-a-week access to customer service, a state-of-the art ATM and a business night depository.

As part of the grand opening, Charter One made a $1,000 donation to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. In addition to the ribbon-cutting ceremony and check presentation, the celebration included refreshments, giveaways, a balloon artist and a chance to win a $100 Acme Fresh Market gift card.

“Our customers tell us how much they value the extended hours, personal service and seven-day convenience of our Montrose Acme branch,” said Joseph DiRocco, president of Charter One and RBS Citizens for Ohio.

Now through Jan. 10, customers will have an opportunity to win a $100 Acme Fresh Market gift card. Four $100 gift cards will be awarded. Official contest rules are available at Charter One’s Montrose Acme branch.

Charter One designed its Montrose Acme branch to enhance customer convenience using a blend of personal service and user-friendly technology. The branch provides full-service banking seven days a week, including a private office for customer consultations, teller window, concierge desk, 24-hour telephone access to customer service, new night depository service for businesses and an enhanced ATM so customers can deposit checks and cash without needing envelopes and deposit tickets.

The branch is open Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Before and after banking hours, customers can continue to consult with a banker using the one-touch 24-hour customer service telephone or to make deposits, withdrawals and transfers using the ATM.
