The business, started by Mel and Mary Todaro with a catering service run out of a North Hill grocery store more than 40 years ago, offers banquet rooms, catering service and more.
Frank Todaro, son of the late Mel Todaro and his wife, is president of the company.
“We have evolved over the years to host more sophisticated types of banquet events,” he said. “Todaro’s staff consistently creates fresh and vibrant settings for every style and type of reception. We make everything here in-house, and we have great facilities.”
Frank Todaro stated the main banquet room was recently redone by Nancy Marchetta, of m2 creative management solutions inc., to create a modern setting for weddings and other events, and the main lobby also will be undergoing a transformation in the future.
There are several banquet rooms available for customers that can be reconfigured to accommodate guests ranging from 50 to 800, according to Todaro. The rooms can be used for up to five-and-a-half hours, and there is parking for up to 400 vehicles onsite. The rooms include a dance floor and a bar with a free bartender.
In addition, Todaro’s has outdoor space and an arbor for customers who want to host an outdoor wedding.
For their events, customers can select from 18 different linen napkin colors and two linen table covers at no extra charge, and Todaro’s also offers custom linens. Todaro said they strive to make every event look unique.
“The chefs offer the best in both traditional and modern fare, and they can please the most sophisticated palate,” he added. “We have all types of cuisine, and we let customers sample the food they want to serve their guests at their event.”
Both plated and buffet-style dining service is available. In addition, Todaro’s can create wedding cakes and offers free cake-cutting service at weddings. Customers also can order ice sculptures and floral arrangements at Todaro’s for their events.
“We offer excellent service, and we try to accommodate our customers whenever we can,” said Todaro. “We try to make their event run smoothly and eliminate the bumps. Brian Hurtt, our director of banquets and catering, ties everything together to make every event look great.”
Todaro’s also offers catering for events offsite that can include table service and linens.
