BATH — Montrose Family Practice offers primary and family care in Suite 203 at 525 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road.

The 15-year-old practice includes owner Dr. Cynthia Weinstein and Dr. Amanda Roberts.

The practice offers a range of wellness services, treatment for illness and chronic diseases, immunizations and allergy testing and treatment. Wellness services include complete physicals and newborn immunizations. The office staff also offers cardiac and pulmonary testing, testing for tuberculosis, skin biopsies and procedures, some joint injections and in-house phlebotomy.

Weinstein and Roberts said they are old-fashioned family physicians practicing modern medicine in the digital age.

“We are attentive to our patients,” said Roberts. “We accommodate them with practices such as seeing them the day they are sick and sending prescriptions in the day they are needed.”

Roberts said they offer patients a more intensive type of visit to address immediate issues but also ask questions about health maintenance such as scheduling a colonoscopy and other recommended procedures.

Weinstein said this is achieved by allotting enough time to see each patient, which also prevents excessive wait times for patients coming in for an appointment.

“We run on time and minimize wait times for patients,” she said.

Roberts said the practice’s focus on the digital age is evidenced through its use of “patient portals,” which offer direct communication about matters between a patient and a doctor. The patient portal allows doctors to answer patients’ immediate concerns and lets them know if an appointment is necessary. In addition, it will list other information, such as test results.

“We have operated an electronic records system since 1989,” said Roberts. “This maximizes efficiency for both the doctor and the patient.”

According to practice officials, Roberts attended Hiram College for her undergraduate education and went to Wright State University for medical school. She completed her residency in family medicine at Miami Valley Hospital. After practicing in a small, rural private practice for a year, she returned home to join Montrose Family Practice.

Weinstein is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University Medical School and completed her residency in family medicine at Akron City Hospital, according to practice officials.

“Our goal in this practice is to take care of the entire family and maintain relationships,” said Roberts. “The focus on knowing them personally and medically allows us to better attend to their needs.”

Montrose Family Practice is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To make an appointment, call 330-666-9769.
