The store, located at 2492 Wedgewood Drive, is owned by Jim Taylor, who is also the company’s president. Taylor has been in business for 19 years.

“We have unbeatable prices, an unbeatable selection and personalized service,” he said. “We are locally owned, and the earnings stay here, unlike many other jewelry stores, where the money goes abroad.”

Taylor Made Jewelry carries an extensive selection of engagement rings, wedding sets, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and watches from makers such as Citizen, Bulova, Accutron and Caravelle. The store also carries diamond and gemstone jewelry available in platinum, white and yellow gold, and sterling silver for both men and women. Jewelry for special occasions such as graduations, births, birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day and “just because” gifts, as well as fashion pieces, religious items and charms also are available at Taylor Made Jewelry.

The store also carries the Chamilia and Sarah’s Hope jewelry lines.

Chamilia uses a variety of crystals, stone, Murano glass and Cored beads in sterling silver and gold to create unique necklaces and bracelets, according to Taylor.

The Sarah’s Hope line, which incorporates vibrant stones and sterling silver to create contemporary designs, helps to fund small businesses owned and operated by women all over the world, said Taylor.

In addition, the store offers custom-designed jewelry.

“Sometimes people come in with an idea, or we can go through a catalog to begin with a design that can be modified,” said Taylor. “We use a sketch to produce a three-dimensional model for customers to see before we carve a wax model and then cast it in gold or platinum.”

Taylor added customers can bring in their own diamonds or gemstones or purchase some from the store.

Taylor Made Jewelry is offering a number of Christmas specials, including the Everlon diamond knot collection with a pendant, ring, earrings and bangle; the Pavé diamond ensemble; Espresso diamond items; and more.

Services at Taylor Made Jewelry include jewelry repairs, remounts, ring sizing, pearl restringing, engraving and watch repairs.

Taylor Made Jewelry is the official jeweler for The University of Akron’s Zips, according to Taylor.
