National Missing Children’s Day recognized with local event
FAIRLAWN — May 25 is National Missing Children’s Day, and GASP: Guardians Advocating Child Safety and Protection will host a free event at Summit Mall from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with family-focused activities and informational booths. GASP will provide safety tips, a demonstration by radKids and identification kits for parents. The ID kits will contain computer discs for parents containing fingerprints, photos and an interview with their child, provided free.
GASP is an Akron-based nonprofit dedicated to providing a safer environment for children by delivering safety programs to protect them from dangerous situations, sex offenses, abuse and abductions.
