During a brief meeting June 25, the Granger Township Board of Trustees approved the township’s potential budget for 2013 to submit to the Medina County Auditor’s Office.

Township Fiscal Officer Barbara Beach said the budget reflects a “decrease across the board in revenue and decrease across the board in expenditures.”

Also, no individual items were increased, she said.

Beach also noted local government funding from the state has been severely limited during the past couple of years, and the township may receive $25,000, down from $80,000 it received in the past.

Beach also noted the trustees’ second meeting in July, normally held the fourth Monday of the month, is instead scheduled for Thursday, July 26, at 4 p.m. The next regular trustees’ meeting follows the usual schedule and is set for July 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Township Administration Building, located at 3717 Ridge Road.
