Akron resident Michael Harris, 12, is pictured at left trying to keep cool in the “people cooler” mist during one of the hottest days of the year.
Outback Ray’s Amazing Animal Show also entertained adults and children at Rock the Docks. Shown at right middle, from left, are 6-year-olds Sam Powell and Austin Ross and 4-year-old Dakota Ross, all from Springfield, handling a Burmese python during the show.
One of the live bands during the weekend was Freez R Burn. Shown at right bottom is David Thomas, of Ireland, and his daughter, Bronach, 18 months, dancing to the sounds of the band. The band included three of Thomas’ brothers.
The annual event is supported by area businesses.
