COVENTRY — Fall is bringing some dramatic sunsets to the area. This photo was taken Sept. 17 by Coventry resident Bob Bussey Jr. Bussey said the photo shows the top of the sledding hill at Firestone Metro Park, located off Warner Road.

According to the Metro Parks, Serving Summit County website, the 258-acre park also features play fields, fishing and areas for cross country skiing, as well as picnic shelters. There also are three walking trails, including the easy 1.1 mile Redwing Trail, the 0.9 Walking Course and the 1.6 mile Willow Trail, which passes the Tuscarawas Race, Tuscarawas River and Little Turtle Pond located in the park. The large wetland, marshy meadows and forest areas in the park are home to foxes, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, muskrats, rabbits, mice, voles and moles, as well as 175 species of birds and many wildflowers.

The park is open to the public from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
