Metro Parks visitors get birds-eye view of wildlife

AKRON — The F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm hosted representatives from Quail Hollow State Park’s Carriage House Nature Center Aug. 31 in a Metro Parks, Serving Summit County program that allowed visitors to get up close to birds of prey.

Naturalist Connie Michaels, from the center in Hartville, is shown above with Sky, a red tail hawk.

Sarah Stephan, of Munroe Falls, shown below, was among the visitors who got to take a closer look at some of the birds during the event.

Another bird is shown at right as Dana Tipton, of Bath, and her son Ben are shown in the background.
