GREEN — Green High School seniors are closing out the year once again with community service work as part of Senior Payback Day May 28. The annual effort involves graduating seniors, more than 300 this year, working to spruce up city parks for the summer, according to city officials.

Ricky Lovell is pictured at right picking up trash around the Heritage Hill Playground in Boettler Park.

Students also spent time in Southgate Park, next door. Shown above, from left in the right foreground, are Allie Stanley with a shovel and Shannon Clayton with a rake spreading mulch with other students along trails in that park.

Shown below are some of the students who worked on repairing and creating new hiking trails in the park. Students also worked on baseball field maintenance in Kreighbaum and Greensburg parks and helped out at the fire station, according to city officials.
