GREEN — During Dental Health Month, five Mellion Orthodontics staff members and Dr. Nate Mellion presented a skit titled “Bad Tooth Bart” to the third-grade class of Heather Davis and J.T. Kuzior at Green Primary School Jan. 29.

The interactive skit, some of which is shown at right, taught children the importance of good dental hygiene and was presented to approximately 20 area elementary schools, according to Sue Locke, marketing coordinator for Mellion Orthodontics. Locke said the skit used students from the class to serve as characters: Bad Tooth Bart, the Plaque Posse, Fluoride Fred, Dental Dave, Cavity Bugs, parts of a tooth (Enamel, Dentin and Pulp) and Penelope Pearly Whites, while the rest of the students served as townspeople. Students who performed in the skit included: Tayla Adkins, Angelina Carlson, Josiah Flowers, Gage Grossman, Nyle Guess, Hannah Hayman, Caleb Humphreys, Carly Hupp, Savannah Long, Alex McCloud, Julianna Scheppler and Alex Webster.

At the end of the presentation, Mellion answered questions from the students.
