NEW FRANKLIN — The Manchester Alumni Association presented its inaugural Distinguished Alumni Awards June 23 before a sold-out crowd at Prime 93 restaurant.

Honorees for 2012, shown from left, included: Dr. Robert Schweikert (Alumni Achievement Award), Joanne Eckert (Outstanding Faculty Award), Zac Jackson (Early Career Achievement Award), Ken Tallman (Leadership Excellence Award) and Cheryl Kaderly, accepting on behalf of her late husband, Rick Kaderly (Posthumous Panther Alumni Award).

Each winner received an engraved statuette, and their photos and accomplishments will be displayed on individual plaques at Manchester High School.
