Highland staff trained in CPR/AED
By Staff Writer
GRANGER — University Hospitals partnered with Highland Local Schools to certify all Highland staff in adult CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training. More than 325 Highland employees took part in the two-hour, condensed certification program Aug. 20 at the high school. The training included 16 instructors from University Hospitals, as well as Granger, Hinckley and Sharon fire departments. Participants received one-on-one instruction for CPR/AED and learned what to do when someone is choking.

All schools in Highland are equipped with multiple AED machines, according to district officials.
This CPR/AED training is available to others in the community, according to Highland officials. For more information, contact the UH EMS Training and Disaster Preparedness Institute at 440-735-3513 or visit www.uhems.org.
