Baumgardners celebrate 50th anniversary

Gene and Nancy Baumgardner

Nancy SirLouis and Gene Baumgardner married Oct. 14, 1961, and celebrated their golden anniversary with an open house reception and renewal of their vows.

The Copley residents have three children: Sherry (Dave) Shaub, David (Sherrie) Baumgardner and Alisa (Scott) Rochford. Their grandchildren are Adam and Corey Baumgardner, and Aryn and Ashley Shaub.

Gene is the owner of B&B Carpet, Painting and Restoration, while Nancy handled the office duties. She also taught English as a Second Language to adults part time.

The couple are active members of Riverside Alliance Church in Akron, where they serve in many capacities.
