CUYAHOGA FALLS — The annual installation of officers of the 32nd degree Scottish Rite Masons of the Valley of Akron was held May 24 at the Cuyahoga Falls Masonic Complex. More than 90 members, family and guests were in attendance to welcome the new officers to their posts, according to group officials.

Four presiding officers and 28 additional officers were installed to serve the 1,250 members of the Akron Scottish Rite chapter. The team of installing officers included James Easterling Jr., deputy’s representative and installing officer; Clyde Pennington, James McDonald, James Himmelright and William Turner, installing marshals; and George Seabeck, installing chaplain.

Those installed as the presiding officers of Akron Scottish Rite included: Clyde Pennington Jr., of North Canton; James Brumbaugh, of Kent; and Joshua Grove and Peter Ossai, both of Akron. They were elected to lead the Aroba Lodge of Perfection, the Adar Council of the Princes of Jerusalem, the Arras Chapter of Rose Croix and the Akron Consistory, respectively.
