Since December, volunteer judges have read more than 150 10-Minute Plays from all over the country before choosing eight finalists. Among those playwrights is Norton resident Christina Blosco, whose 10-minute play, “Waiting for Baby,” was among those chosen for TheatreFest. She is the only local person selected as a finalist.

The guest judges include David Ritchey, theater critic for the West Side Leader and a professor in the School of Communication at The University of Akron. The guest judges will attend a performance and choose first- and second-place winners, and audience members will vote for the Fan Favorite. The winners of all prizes will be announced at a reception following the Sunday matinee July 15.

Performances will be July 13-14 at 8 p.m. and July 15 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and are available by calling 330-836-2626.
