• Nick and Ariel Hakim, of Fairlawn, announce the birth of Harriet “Hattie” Marie Hakim. Hattie was born Nov. 2, 2012, at 4:26 p.m. at Akron General Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 20.5 inches long. The baby’s grandparents are Samir and Frances Hakim, of West Akron, and Mike and Anita Marks, of Bath.

• Mason James Koncz was born at Akron City Hospital Nov. 12, 2012, at 8:47 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 21 inches long. Parents are Andrew and Jackie Koncz, of Copley, and Mason joins big brother Andrew. His grandparents are Marty and Nancy Arvay and Drew and Kathy Koncz, all of Norton.
