WEST AKRON — Tom Morrison, a member of the International Association of Sand Builders, visited Woodland Preschool for a day of fun Jan. 25. Preschool Director Kathy Renzi said Morrison, of West Akron, brought in sand and spent the day building a sand sculpture with preschool children.

Morrison and the finished project are pictured at right.

He is a trustee and caretaker of United Methodist Church, according to Renzi. She added that he builds sand castles all over the world, including locally at Barberton’s annual Mumfest.
