Green Historical Society honoring War of 1812 soldiers

GREEN — The Green Historical Society is planning a ceremony to honor the soldiers of the War of 1812 buried in Green. The ceremony will take place Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Green Veterans Memorial Park, 1900 Steese Road.

Soldiers of the War of 1812 who are buried in Green cemeteries are: Andrew Kepler, John Smith, Henry Swartz, John Thornton and Henry Warner.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
