COVENTRY: Summit County sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance at a Manchester Road residence July 2 when a man with a knife threatened to harm himself. He was apprehended, charged with disorderly conduct and taken to the Summit County Jail.
An employee of a Manchester Road restaurant reported July 5 her vehicle was damaged while she worked.
The driver of a vehicle carrier reported July 6 a vehicle on the carrier was damaged while the truck was parked outside a South Arlington Road restaurant.
A Pace Avenue man reported July 7 a 6-foot ladder was stolen from outside his residence.
Following a traffic stop on Manchester Road July 7, deputies arrested a North Canton man on a warrant stemming from drug charges and released him to Stark County sheriff’s deputies.
The owner of a pickup truck reported July 8 an unknown amount of gasoline was siphoned from the gas tank of the vehicle while it was parked in a Portage Lakes Drive lot.
A Bower Avenue woman reported a vehicle was stolen from outside her residence July 9. The vehicle was not locked and the keys were inside. Police in Lawrence Township located the vehicle, which had been damaged.
Employees of a Portage Lakes Drive bar reported July 11 a woman continued to call the bar, disrupting business operations, after being told not to call. Deputies advised her to stop calling and she agreed to comply.
A Barberton man who was walking on Manchester Road July 11 was arrested on a warrant and released to the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department.
On July 11, a man reported he and his wife were walking their dog on Radnor Drive when a dog ran from a yard and bit him on the thumb. The dog owner agreed to pay for medical treatment, and the victim declined prosecution and drove himself to a medical facility.
An air conditioner condenser was stolen from outside a video business on South Main Street July 12.
An East Pace Avenue woman reported July 12 that her neighbor continually yells out the window that she will unleash her dog on her. Deputies advised the neighbor to cease the threats.
A Minor Avenue woman reported July 14 a man who is living with her is no longer welcome there due to threats he made against her pets. Deputies advised her of the process to obtain a restraining order and evict the man.
On July 14, a North Turkeyfoot Lake Road woman reported a neighbor threatened her. Deputies contacted the man, who denied making threats but admitted he asked her to be quiet. No charges were filed due to conflicting information.

GREEN: A Mayfair Road woman reported July 6 her Security card, identification and her child’s Social Security card were stolen from a vehicle outside her residence.
Summit County sheriff’s deputies contacted an Akron man in a West Turkeyfoot Lake Road parking lot July 6, arrested him on a domestic relations warrant and took him to the Summit County Jail.
An Akron woman reported July 7 her cell phone was stolen from a residence on Branchwood Road.
Also on that day, deputies contacted an Akron woman after an Easton Road woman reported she made threatening phone calls to her. The Akron woman denied making threatening calls, but she agreed not to contact her again.
Deputies are seeking the people who entered a gate outside a Cottage Grove Road residence July 11 and stole a $300 lawnmower tractor and five tires from the yard.
The next day, deputies responded to reports that a vehicle was traveling east on Raber Road and the driver was unconscious behind the steering wheel. Two witnesses managed to stop the vehicle and remove the driver, who was unresponsive but conscious. He was transported by EMS to a hospital. A passenger in the vehicle was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia found in the vehicle.
A Massillon Road man reported July 13 a GPS unit and two hunting knives were stolen from a vehicle outside his apartment.

LAKEMORE: A Harlan Avenue woman reported July 8 that her son entered her home using a key and took her husband’s gun and gold watch and left the key on the counter.
Police responded to a domestic violence incident at a Lakeside Drive home July 9 and found a marijuana plant and a grow light in plain view. The homeowner was charged with manufacturing drugs.
On July 12, a vacant Flickinger Road building was entered after someone broke a window. Police confiscated glass with blood on it.
A Plaza Court resident was charged with having a dog at large July 12. Police noted the matter is an ongoing problem.
An Alpha Avenue woman was charged with endangering children after police found two young children in her car, which was parked in the lot of Lake Drive bar while she was inside. She was arrested and brought to the Summit County Jail, and Summit County Children Services was called. Police learned the father had custody of the two boys.
Both tires on a child’s bike at a Fourth Street home were deflated July 14.

NEW FRANKLIN: A Rex Lake man reported July 7 his vehicle was scratched.
A Florida Avenue man was arrested July 6 on West Turkeyfoot Lake Road for possession of drugs and having an open container of alcohol. Marijuana and prescription medications reportedly fell out of the man’s shorts, and an open can of beer was found inside the vehicle.
Five people were arrested on Boston Avenue July 7 following a stop for a traffic violation and all reportedly admitted drinking, including: an 18-year-old Mayfair Road man who was charged with underage drinking and disorderly conduct and who reportedly was belligerent and refused to be searched; an 18-year-old Bonshire Road man and 20-year-old Ontario Road man for underage drinking; a 17-year-old Manchester Road female for unruly juvenile offenses, underage drinking, possession of drug paraphernalia and tobacco violations after a glass pipe and cigarettes were discovered in her purse, and falsification after she reportedly provided police with an incorrect date of birth; and a 16-year-old West Nimisila Road female for offenses involving juveniles, tobacco violations and falsification after she also reportedly provided police with an incorrect date of birth.
A West Caston Road man was arrested for criminal trespass July 7 after a Fayette Avenue woman reported he entered her residence and took her telephone and threw it on the ground. The man was advised not to return to her residence, but he was arrested later that day for trespassing and claimed the Fayette Avenue woman drove him to her residence.
A South State Street man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic violation on West Turkeyfoot Lake Road July 8 after a glass pipe with marijuana residue was found inside the vehicle.
On July 8, a Rawlins Avenue woman reported someone entered her unlocked residence and stole items including jewelry, a flat-screen TV, printer and computer. Police are investigating.
A Mahoning Road man was arrested for obstructing official business and assault July 13 on Manchester Road. Police were investigating a private property crash and the man reportedly became irate and refused to leave the premises. He allegedly charged police and a 24th Street woman and was tased and taken to a local hospital.

SPRINGFIELD: A 40-inch LCD and 50-inch plasma TV was reported stolen from an East Waterloo Road home July 3.
A Mohawk Trail home was entered July 4, and owners are doing an inventory to determine what was taken.
On July 8, an Akron woman reported she left a $700 purse and items at a Portage Line Road home she previously lived at, and when she returned to retrieve them, they were gone.
Four incidents of theft were reported at a South Arlington Road store July 8-11, including: three push lawnmowers and two bread racks taken by a white man who is 5 feet, 8 inches to 6 feet, weighing 160 to 190 pounds and with brown hair who drove a white Ford Ranger to the back of the store to get the items; a Forrest Drive man who allegedly attempted to cash $1,980 in fraudulent checks but failed; a woman who reportedly tried to leave with a cart full of items she had not paid for, but took a remote and mattress topper when stopped by security and fled in a silver, two-door Ford Probe being driven by a Waynesburg man; and a Rowe Street woman who allegedly attempted $115 in fraudulent returns and was charged with theft and possession of a marijuana cigarette.
On July 10, police investigated a report of an East Archwood Avenue woman employed at a South Arlington Road store after she allegedly rang up multiple discounts and failed to ring up others for a friend. Police issued a warrant for her arrest.
An Ironwood Road woman reported July 10 she gave $2,300 to three males who knocked on her door and offered to do some work. The men worked for three hours and did not return to finish the job.
Also on that day, a North Canton woman reported that while she was eating at a South Arlington Road restaurant, someone smashed a window on her car and took her purse, which contained her house and car keys, a cell phone, bank card, Social Security card and two driver’s licenses.
Police responded to an activated alarm that was heard by the Killian Road home’s neighbors while they were doing yard work July 11. They told police they saw a man driving off in a orange/red Ford Ranger after the alarm went off. Police found a bent window screen, but no entry to the home had been gained.
Shampoo and a paperback book were reported stolen from a Mobile Lane home July 11.
A window screen was removed from a Quarry Road home and a fan was moved the same day, but no entry to the home was gained.
On July 12, a Hayne Road man was charged with failure to comply after police stopped him for driving with no taillights.
A vehicle on Dangel Avenue was entered July 13 and an overhead compartment was ripped apart.
A storage shed on Mayfair Road was entered the next day and $1,100 worth of tools was taken.
Two vehicles on Mayfair Circle were entered July 14. A GPS unit was taken from one after a window was broken, and a wallet with a debit card, $120 and a driver’s license was taken from another.
Also on that day, someone sprayed graffiti onto the side of a Massillon Road business.
A Cornell Drive man reported July 14 he let a neighbor use his vehicle, and when it was returned, his wallet with $38, a debit card and driver’s license was missing. The neighbor told police he does not know who stole it.
A church on Kubler Trail was entered through an open window July 14. A flat-screen TV was taken down from a wall, and the person left through the front door with it.
