COVENTRY: A Manchester Road man reported Sept. 2 an enclosed trailer was stolen from his property.

Suspects entered a residence on Chaffin Road Sept. 4 and stole two video games, totaling $570.

Deputies investigated a report that a man was riding an all-terrain vehicle on Minor Road Sept. 4. Officers arrived to find the suspect sitting on the vehicle attempting to start it. When they determined the vehicle had been reported stolen, deputies arrested the man for receiving stolen property and took him to Summit County Jail.

Suspects entered a vehicle outside a Longacre Drive residence Sept. 4 and stole a brief case, money, bank keys and a notary stamp, seal and journal.

Suspects entered a vehicle outside a Manchester Road physician’s office Sept. 5 and stole a backpack containing a laptop computer and two bottles of cholesterol medication.

Deputies are investigating a report of robbery and kidnapping, which occurred Sept. 6. A woman reported two males abducted her at gunpoint in the parking lot of a South Arlington Road bank and forced her into a vehicle. The suspects forced her to drive to a shoe store, where they stole $2,200 from her and fled on foot.

A Chaffin Road resident reported the theft of a radar detector and money from an unlocked vehicle outside the residence Sept. 6.

A Lockwood Road resident reported suspects stole video games, controllers and DVD movies from his bedroom Sept. 6. During their investigation, deputies found drug paraphernalia and marijuana in the victim’s roommate’s bedroom, and the roommate was charged with their possession.

Suspects entered a Proehl Drive residence through an unlocked window Sept. 7 and stole diamond jewelry, including a ring set, a solitaire ring and earrings.

GREEN: Suspects smashed the glass door of a beauty salon on South Main Street Aug. 31 and stole $200 cash.

On Sept. 2, a Lakefront Drive woman reported she placed two envelopes containing checks in her mailbox and they were stolen. The same day, the victim’s neighbor reported she also placed mail in the mailbox and an envelope containing a check was stolen. Detectives are investigating.

Suspects cut a section of fence outside a business on East Turkeyfoot Lake Road Sept. 2 to enter property belonging to a telecommunications business. Equipment and numerous tools were stolen.

A guest at a Corporate Woods Parkway hotel reported Sept. 3 a video game and controller were stolen from his hotel room.

Deputies investigated a report of road rage Sept. 3 when a male reported he was driving on Interstate 77 near South Arlington Road and a male acquaintance in another car attempted to force his vehicle off the road and threw a soda can at it. Deputies advised both men to have no contact with each other.

A student at Green High School reported Sept. 5 a catalytic converter was stolen from his father’s vehicle in the student lot.

The manager of a Mayfair Road apartment complex called deputies Sept. 5 to report a woman who had been banned from the property due to a previous incident was at the complex. Deputies located her in an apartment and charged her with criminal trespassing.

Employees of a South Main Street drugstore reported Sept. 5 a shopper asked to see a $150 digital camera and a $70 accessory, then ran out the door with the items without paying for them.

Deputies investigated a report that a man was urinating in the parking lot of a Corporate Woods Circle grocery store Sept. 6. Officers located the suspect at his home, and he admitted urinating in the lot. He was charged with public indecency and released with a summons to appear in court.

NEW FRANKLIN: Police issued a warrant Sept. 2 for a Canal Fulton man wanted on charges of domestic violence and criminal damaging. A Canal Fulton woman reported to police that while she was at a Caston Road residence, she and the man got into a verbal argument and he reportedly kicked the door of her vehicle, causing damage, and also allegedly broke her cell phone and threw rocks at her vehicle as she drove away. Police found a broken cell phone at the residence.

A Portage Street man was arrested for driving while under an insurance violation Sept. 3 on South Cleveland-Massillon Road.

A Second Street man reported Sept. 5 his compound bow and case, valued at $800, was stolen from his locked residence.

On Sept. 6, a Manchester Road man reported his front license plate was missing.

 LAKEMORE: A Troyer Avenue Northwest woman stopped for a traffic violation Sept. 2 was charged with illegal possession of drug paraphernalia.

SPRINGFIELD: Eight people were arrested at a South Arlington Road discount store between Aug. 30 and Sept. 7, including: an East Avenue woman who allegedly took $38 in clothing; a Grant Street woman who reportedly tried to steal $140 in clothing and DVDs; a Thornton Street man who also was charged with criminal trespassing and possession of criminal tools, after he allegedly tried to steal $126 in electronic items; a Tobby Terrace female and her sister for reportedly opening and eating $4 in candy and donuts in the store; an Ina Court woman who was charged with criminal trespass when she entered the store after being banned from the place for a previous theft charge; a Market Street woman who allegedly tried to take a $35 comforter; a Pioneer Street man who allegedly took $40 in fishing gear, a knife and a memory card; and an Ira Avenue man who reportedly tried to take $58 in health care products without paying for them.

A Swineheart Road man reported Aug. 31 someone placed a steel ball bearing into his motor.

Prescription medication was reported stolen from an Ambre Drive residence Sept. 1.

Police charged a 17-year-old Stevenson Avenue male with domestic violence after he reportedly shot his sister in the abdomen twice with a BB gun Sept. 2.

A Martincrest Drive woman was charged with theft after she allegedly stole $132 in items from a South Arlington Road pet store Sept. 2.

A laptop, two digital cameras, a camcorder, a diamond ring, a global positioning system unit and three drills, with a total value of $9,000, were stolen from a vehicle parked on Rolling Meadows Lane Sept. 2.

A Shadyacres Drive male was charged with domestic violence after he reportedly threatened to kill his father and throw rocks through his aunt’s car window Sept. 2.

An oxygen tank stored behind a locked fence was stolen from a Gilchrist Road business Sept. 2.

Police charged a Barberton man, who was found in a car parked at a South Arlington Road hotel, with possession of marijuana Sept. 3.

A Coleman Avenue female reported a black man who was a passenger in a dark minivan jumped out and tried to grab her from behind as she walked along Albrecht Avenue Sept. 4. She told police several buttons were ripped from her shirt as she struggled, and when she screamed, the man ran back to the van, which drove off.

On Sept. 5, a Lessig Avenue woman employed at an East Waterloo Road grocery store was charged with theft after she allegedly stole $251 in cash from her register.

Police charged a Coach Lane man with domestic violence Sept. 7 after he reportedly punched his girlfriend, knocked her down, kicked her in the ribs and face and bit her thumb and forearm.

A Dane Drive man was charged with criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft after he was caught at a Delaware Avenue home with the owner’s car remote Sept. 8.
