COVENTRY: Deputies were called to an Ingleside Drive residence Nov. 1, when a woman reported her neighbor’s dog was continuously barking and she wanted the matter documented. Deputies spoke to the dog owner, who said she expected the dog would stop barking after getting obedience training.
Security agents at a Manchester Road grocery store reported a man, who had stolen from the store in the past and was banned from the premises, left the store without paying for merchandise Nov. 3. The suspect was arrested for theft and criminal trespassing, released with a court summons and again told not to return to the store.
Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle outside a Maryland Avenue residence Nov. 3 and stole a wallet containing identification and credit cards.
A Weil Drive man reported two dogs attacked his dog while he was walking the animal on a leash at the intersection of Waterside and Organ drives Nov. 4. The dogs’ owner was advised of leash laws, and the victim declined prosecution.
On Nov. 4, deputies patrolling Manchester Road stopped a driver of a vehicle with no license plate light for impeding traffic. The driver was arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia.
A Barberton woman reported suspects stole $300 from her purse at a Cormany Road residence Nov. 6.
Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle outside a Big Valley Road residence Nov. 6 and stole a cell phone and flashlight.
Deputies were called to a disturbance at a construction site on Woburn Drive Nov. 6, when four males each reported being the victim of the others’ aggression. Due to conflicting accounts of what happened, the parties were advised to contact the prosecutor’s office if they wanted to file complaints.
On Nov. 7, deputies were called to an elementary school on South Main Street, where an employee reported her estranged husband went to the school to talk to her and she felt threatened. The man agreed he was angry with her but denied threatening the woman. Deputies advised him not to contact her or come to her place of business, and he agreed to comply.

GREEN: Deputies investigated reports of criminal damaging Nov. 2, when an unknown suspect in a vehicle drove across yards of three residences on Doves Crossing Drive.
On Nov. 2, deputies were called to the long-term parking lot at Akron-Canton Airport after a woman discovered suspects damaged windows on her Jeep Wrangler and stole a soft cover from inside the vehicle.
A Thorn Drive woman reported Nov. 2 a Parma man at her residence became physical with her during an argument. Due to conflicting stories and the intoxication level of both parties, deputies were unable to determine a primary aggressor. The male, who had minor injuries, declined medical treatment and left the residence for the night.
Deputies investigated an attempted burglary at a Rick Drive residence Nov. 3 after a woman reported suspects attempted to gain entry through the front door while she was home. Officers found the front door had been kicked in.
A Greensburg Road man reported suspects threw rocks through two windows of the residence Nov. 3 and smashed the window of a vehicle belonging to another victim who had parked in the driveway. He said the suspect wore blue jeans and a hooded sweatshirt.
The manager of a professional office on Massillon Road reported Nov. 4 suspects stole a case of calendars worth $260.
A driver stopped for lane violations on South Arlington Road Nov. 4 failed a field sobriety test and was charged with DUI. His BAC tested .241.
Deputies investigated reports of theft and criminal damaging at a Royce Avenue residence Nov. 4 after a woman reported two suspects broke into her barn, took items and threw them into a nearby open fire, destroying them.
Employees of a business at Akron-Canton Airport reported Nov. 5 suspects stole a computer mouse from a business lounge.
On Nov. 6, deputies patrolling state Route 619 stopped a driver for a traffic violation, arrested her for driving under suspension and held her on an Akron warrant for drug abuse. She was additionally charged with possession of drugs and paraphernalia following a tow inventory of her vehicle.
Detectives are investigating numerous reports of theft from students at Green High School. On Nov. 6, two females reported having purses stolen from classrooms. On Nov. 7, suspects entered three unsecured lockers in the girl’s locker room, and on Nov. 8 a woman reported her daughter had items stolen from her locker. In all incidents, suspects stole money, wallets, purses, digital cameras, cell phones and other electronic items. Two bottles of prescription medication also were taken.
On Nov. 7, a Massillon Road pharmacy was entered after hours and thousands of dollars worth of prescription medication, including vicodin, oxycodone, opana extended release and hydrocodone, were stolen. Detectives are investigating.

LAKEMORE: Police officers charged a Lake Road man with DUI Nov. 1 after stopping him for a traffic violation at Main Street and Park Drive and discovering he had been drinking.
A Sanitarium Road woman also was charged with DUI after police stopped her near her home Nov. 4.
A Mount View Avenue female was charged with assault Nov. 4. Police had responded to a domestic violence call and found the girl allegedly assaulted her 8-year-old brother and 13-year-old cousin.

NEW FRANKLIN: An Akron man was charged with theft Nov. 3 after he reportedly stole a Tweed Drive man’s credit card to make online purchases totaling $680.
A Catalina Drive woman reported Nov. 5 someone opened a credit card by using her Social Security number.
An Akron woman was arrested for driving under the influence, having an open container of alcohol and insurance suspension on Manchester Road Nov. 6. At a traffic stop, police noticed the odor of alcohol, and she admitted to drinking beer. Police found an open can of beer inside her vehicle.
A Hyman Avenue woman reported $3,400 of jewelry, including a diamond necklace, earrings and ring, were stolen from her unlocked residence Nov. 6.
A Raber Terrace man was arrested on Manchester Road Nov. 7 for driving while under the influence. He had a BAC of .169. Police were called because his car was in a ditch, and they noticed the odor of alcohol.
An Akron man was arrested for being under the influence Nov. 8 on Manchester Road.
A Renninger Road man reported Nov. 8 a motor scooter valued at $965 was stolen from his carport.

SPRINGFIELD: A Rustic Lane resident reported someone threw a rock through the front window of his home Nov. 1.
A landscape block was removed from the garden of a Jackson Boulevard home and two sections of fencing were set in the yard Nov. 1.
Police charged a 20-year-old Yarrowdale Drive man with underage drinking and furnishing alcohol to two minor females Nov. 3. The Orchard Lane and Carnegie Avenue girls also were charged with underage drinking.
A Nolt Drive resident reported Nov. 4 someone threw toilet paper around his yard and used chalk to write obscene words on his driveway.
A Myersville Road woman reported Nov. 4 a man at a Halloween party she attended raped her while she was passed out. She told police she went to the hospital for a rape kit after discovering what had happened.
Police are investigating a report filed Nov. 5 by a Canton Road store owner, who told police someone placed an order for a $1,154 item using a stolen credit card. The individual is due to pick up the item at a Mogadore location.
A Yale Street woman was charged with criminal trespass after she was found on the property of a South Arlington Road discount store Nov. 5. The woman had received a notice not to return to the property after she was allegedly caught stealing something from the store Oct. 1.
On Nov. 8, a Turkeyfoot Lake Road woman reported her car was broken into while she was parked at a Massillon Road bar. Nothing was reported missing.
Police issued a warrant for a 20-year-old Krumroy Road man after his 17-year-old girlfriend reported he punched her in the nose and pushed her down during an argument Nov. 9. The boyfriend has a prior conviction for a domestic assault, according to the police report.
A South Arlington Road discount store reported 15 individuals were allegedly caught stealing Nov. 1-8, including: two Allies Road women, who took $79 in items; an Inman Street woman for taking $51 shoes; a Stanford Street woman who took $94 in items and also was charged with criminal trespass due to a previous incident; a Bertha Avenue woman for taking $28 in DVDs and underwear; a Bedford Heights woman for taking $25 in clothing; a Firestone Boulevard female and an Artman Avenue female for taking $73 in clothing, jewelry, medicine and markers; a Barber Avenue female for taking $20 earrings; an Island Drive woman for taking $63 in books and jewelry; a Callis Avenue woman for taking $83 in children’s items; a Canton Road woman who took $50 in clothing items; a Pfeiffer Road woman who took $20 in clothing items; an Inman Avenue man who took five DVDs valued at $60; a homeless female who took $30 in clothing and a purse; and a Chenoweth Road female who took $39 in cosmetic items.
