COVENTRY: Suspects stole a trailer from a Newton Avenue location Sept. 18. The victim also reported a trailer license plate had been stolen from the site in July.
Employees of a Portage Lakes Drive bar reported Sept. 19 an intoxicated patron was causing a disturbance and making threats to employees and customers. Several employees removed him from the bar and asked deputies to escort him from the property. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and released to his girlfriend.
Suspects slashed tires of a vehicle outside a Dollar Drive residence Sept. 21 and scratched the side of the vehicle.
Deputies are investigating a report of criminal simulation at a West Waterloo Road gas station, where employees reported a suspect used a counterfeit $50 bill to pay for a small purchase Sept. 22 and received change.
An employee of a South Arlington Road restaurant reported Sept. 24 suspects stole $100 from her purse while she was in an employee break room. Deputies interviewed several people who were there at the time, and no one said they had any information about the theft.
On Sept. 26, deputies contacted the former boyfriend of a Greer Road woman and advised him not to have contact with her after he reportedly made threatening phone calls to her home. Shortly after contacting the suspect, deputies observed him driving a vehicle near the victim’s residence and attempted to stop him. The suspect refused to stop, drove through several back yards, damaging the yard of another victim, then fled on foot and was apprehended. He was charged with reckless operation of a vehicle, obstruction of official business and criminal damaging. He was taken to Barberton Municipal Court, where he was released to a relative and told not to contact any of the victims, pending a hearing date. He again called the female, and he was taken back into custody on a charge of phone harassment.
An Edgepark Drive man reported suspects scratched all sides and the hood and back of the vehicle of his vehicle outside his residence Sept. 26.
Deputies investigated a report of burglary and criminal damaging at a State Road residence Sept. 29, when suspects entered an unlocked garage, then forced open a door to enter the residence. Nothing was reported missing.
A Pine Top Court man reported a $1,400 dental apparatus was stolen from his residence Sept. 30.
On Oct. 1, sheriff’s deputies began investigating the forgery of payroll checks and theft of more than $9,000 from a group home on South Main Street. They arrested one Akron woman and issued arrest warrants for five other Akron woman.

GREEN: A Virginia man staying at a Corporate Woods Parkway motel reported Sept. 20 he observed a man break into a rented vehicle in the parking lot and steal a global positioning system. He described the suspect to deputies, who are investigating.
On Sept. 21, deputies reviewed video surveillance footage recorded at a gas station on East Turkeyfoot Lake Road to identify a male who shoplifted items. Officers located the suspect at a nearby motel and charged him with theft.
A driver stopped for a traffic violation on South Arlington Road Sept. 25 was arrested for possession of marijuana and a passenger was charged with having an open container of liquor in a vehicle.
Security agents at an Arlington Ridge Road clothing store called deputies Sept. 25 after a woman was seen reportedly concealing items in her purse. She threw the merchandise under a clothing rack and told deputies she did not plan to steal them. She was charged with theft and released with a court summons.
Deputies investigated incidents in the parking lot of a Royal County Downs Road residence Sept. 25 after suspects entered two vehicles and stole a laptop computer, cell phone and wallet containing cash and credit cards from one. A stereo system and music CDs were stolen from the other.
On Sept. 27, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a Mount Pleasant Road residence, where a man reported his ex-wife hit him in the head, causing an injury. Deputies arrived to find the female swinging at the male, and she admitted striking him. She was arrested for domestic violence and taken to the Summit County Jail after being treated for a medical problem at Akron City Hospital.
Suspects used a rock to damage siding on a Woodview Drive residence Sept. 27.
Deputies investigated a Sept. 28 report stating suspects stole Vicodin and numerous jewelry items from a Kingston Road residence.
A $300 flowerpot was stolen from outside a Massillon Road restaurant Sept. 28.
A Massillon Road resident reported Sept. 29 suspects stole an iPod from the home.
Deputies were called to a disturbance at a Briarwood Way residence Sept. 29 after two females reported a male who lives with one of them assaulted both of them. The suspect said the females attacked him first and then he assaulted them. He was arrested for assault and domestic violence and taken to the Summit County Jail. One victim signed a motion for a temporary protection order.
On Sept. 30, a Myersville Road man reported suspects negotiated a fraudulent check to steal $1,107 from his checking account.
A Mayfair Road resident reported suspects broke into the house through an air conditioning vent Oct. 1 and stole a flat-screen TV and miscellaneous undergarments.
Suspects stole license plates from two vehicles in the parking lot of a Corporate Woods Parkway physician’s office Oct. 1.

LAKEMORE: A Mohican Boulevard resident reported someone started a fire near a rear door Sept. 19.
A Castleton Court resident reported her credit card company called Sept. 19 to report someone had tried to use her credit card at various locations.
A black change purse containing a credit card and $45 was reported stolen from a Plaza Court woman Sept. 28.
The trunk and rear quarter panel of a car parked on Main Street was scratched Sept. 30.

NEW FRANKLIN: While on patrol, an officer noticed an open side door at a Kungle Road residence. The officer secured the residence but was unable to contact the owner.
A Wilmar Drive man reported a pellet gun was used to damage his sliding glass door between Sept. 24 and Sept. 25.
Tin copper plates valued at $40 were taken from a Manchester Road cellular tower.
Police are investigating a break-in Oct. 2 at a West Turkeyfoot Lake Road business. Police found evidence of damage to doors, which had been forced open, and desks and drawers were ransacked.
A Woodedge Boulevard woman was arrested Oct. 6 on Manchester Road for an insurance violation.

SPRINGFIELD: Between Sept. 23 and Oct. 1, five people were charged with theft after allegedly stealing from a South Arlington Road store, including: a Greenwood Road male for taking $5 in items; a Canal Fulton male for taking $9 in headphones and video games; a Frederick Boulevard woman for taking $296 in clothing and jewelry; a Kentucky Avenue woman employed at the store for taking $1,800 from her cash register; and a Parma male for taking $2 in condoms.
On Sept. 28 a Canton woman reported her stepsister emptied her Wilpark Drive father’s bank account.
On Sept. 29, police opened an investigation concerning a Sadler Street child, who had been removed from the home earlier for other reasons, and reported he had been sexually assaulted by his mother’s boyfriend.
A door on a Clayben Drive residence was kicked in and three bottles of prescription medicine were stolen Sept. 29.
Police are searching for a wheelchair-using woman who allegedly stole $20 in adult diapers and aspirin with assistance from a man from an East Waterloo Road grocery store Sept. 29.
A Celia Avenue resident reported a car radio was stolen from her car Sept. 30.
An Ewart Drive man was charged with theft Sept. 30 for taking his mother’s car without permission.
A coronet and case were stolen from a vehicle parked on Howard Avenue Sept. 30.
On Oct. 1, a vacant Mogadore Road business was broken into after someone damaged a small door.
A Waterloo Road man was charged with theft, robbery by force and obstruction Oct. 1 after taking $23 in cigars and steaks from an East Waterloo Road grocery store and pushing security in an attempt to escape from them.
Two men, including a Sarah Drive man and a Durst Boulevard man, were charged with disorderly conduct for fighting in a Massillon Road bar Oct. 1. The Sarah Drive man also was charged with criminal trespass for being on the premises after being banned from the place.
Two individuals were charged with theft Oct. 1 for allegedly stealing from a South Arlington Road department store, including a Bey Road woman for taking $145 in items and a Hillstock Avenue female for taking $54 worth of items.
A Celia Avenue resident reported someone stole a $450 bedliner from his truck Oct. 2.
A Woodland Drive resident reported her prescription medicine was stolen while she was at a Canton Road pharmacy Oct. 4.
Police charged a Kubler Trail woman with disorderly conduct for being intoxicated in public at an East Waterloo Road location Oct. 4. She also was arrested on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Five pumpkins were stolen from an Onondago Trail yard Oct. 4.
A Canton Road donut shop employee reported someone stole $4 from a tip jar at the counter Oct. 5.
A Farmdale Road female was charged with theft for stealing $68 in items from a South Arlington Road store Oct. 5.
