To the editor:

I am writing to encourage people to get out and vote “no” on Issue No. 2. This is the issue to repeal Senate Bill (SB) 5, the bill to end collective bargaining for public employees.

The first thing people need to realize is that police, firefighters and teachers do pay toward their health care and pensions. The governor would like you to believe that all he wants is for employees to pay part of their benefits, but the language of this law says that employees should pay at least 15 percent. We could pay up to 100 percent.

This bill is a direct attack to break unions. Please support working class people by voting no on Issue No. 2.
