Bath residents praise Metro Parks
To the editor:
In June, our family gathered at the Shady Hollow shelter in the Sand Run Metro Park for a reunion to celebrate the 100th birthday of our mother.
Family members all reside in upscale communities in Illinois, Colorado, North Carolina and Maryland, but they were in awe of our Metro Parks system. None claimed anything comparable in their towns. The shelter and grounds were immaculate. The cooperation of the park staff was commendable. Actually, it was exceptional. The family guessed we had paid $250-$350 for the day. It cost only $75.
Citizens have wisely chosen to support our beautiful Metro Parks, Serving Summit County. They are certainly one of our strongest attributes and merit our continued support.
