Mobile Meals golf outing a success

Because of wonderful community support for the outing, Mobile Meals will be able to provide an additional 5,700 meals to those at greatest nutritional risk. Each year, the agency serves more than 3,700 clients. Mobile Meals is grateful for the 76 golfers, 46 sponsors and many others who contributed gift items and made donations.
Golfers and guests enjoyed a light lunch and a tasty dinner of barbecue chicken and ribs prepared by the golf course’s own Edgar’s Restaurant. Attendees enjoyed contests that tested their putting, driving and accuracy on the course. Golfers paid $5 for Lorie Travaglino, president/CEO, to NOT take their tee shot on the 12th tee.
Prizes for attendees and nonattendees were many, including great golf packages, Cleveland Cavaliers and Indians tickets and an overnight hotel stay. The winning foursome included Dennis and Chad Loughry, Jeff Hostetler and Phil Dipane.
The success of this event was accomplished through Dr. Dale and Cindy Murphy, 2012 Golf Ambassadors, staff, volunteers and the golf committee comprised of Cindy Murphy, Sue Ernst and Bonnie Gardner. As guests prepared to leave, Travaglino added her gratitude and invited everyone to return next year.
