To the editor:

I would urge voters to keep Donald Baker as Granger Township fiscal officer. Due to my retirement, seven candidates for my position were interviewed, some extensively. Donald Baker was appointed unanimously by the trustees for the fiscal officer position. He had been attending township meetings for some time and trained with me during the month of July, as well as going forward. He brings a wealth of financial knowledge to this position, with a [bachelor of science degree] in accounting as well as having studied at the Stonier School of Banking, University of Delaware. I have found him to be knowledgeable, hard working, dedicated and committed to sound fiscal management and ensuring the records and funds are safeguarded for the residents of Granger.
