To the editor:

We always look forward to the West Side Leader every week but are dismayed of the lack of coverage discussing the lack of facts surrounding government health care endorsement promoted by [U.S. Rep.] Betty Sutton [(D-District 13)].

Ms. Sutton misses the reality that we do not want the federal government involved in our health care any more than they are. Big government cannot provide goods and services, or add prosperity to our American life better than the Free Market Economy.

The bills being discussed are outrageous and increase governmental control of Americans’ lives and our economy. More so, this Congress and this administration are taking steps to outright destroy American prosperity and way of life.

The socialist lunatic in the White House took six months to pick out a dog yet wants to hastily stuff down our throats huge government control. He and Congress are not considering all our concerns. The Stimulus package is a disaster and should be repealed. Cap & Trade is idiocy, the omnibus spending bill is full of corruption and now Congress and the Narcissist-in-Chief are out to destroy the best health care in the world.

They are about to add $1 trillion to our debt and drive America into depression and destroy our prosperity. We already owe more of our future dollars to China than can be conceived.

We cannot spend our way out of a recession!

We cannot tax our way out of a recession!

Here are seven questions the Congress cannot seem to answer truthfully to the American people with regards to real Health Care Reform:

1. “Will you vote to require members of Congress to be included on any bill dealing with health care?”

2. “Will you vote to require real tort reform to limit damages on any bill dealing with health care?”

3. “Will you vote to remove the invasion of privacy and unreasonable seizure of bank assets on any bill dealing with health care?”

4. “Will you vote to require rationing of health care on any bill dealing with health care?”

5. “Will you vote to keep federal dollars from paying for elective abortions? The Capps Amendment explicitly authorizes the government plan to cover elective abortions.”

6. “Will you vote to exclude illegal aliens coverage with our taxpayer dollars?”

7. “Do you support government control of health care as it exists in Canada and Great Britain?”

We suggest Congress and President be focused on cutting taxes to grow the economy, tort reform, deficit spending, illegal aliens, homeland security, winning the war in Afghanistan and terrorism, governmental corruption, ACORN, job creation for Americans and protecting the Constitution.

Governmental control of health care is a huge step in the wrong direction. The American experience provides the greatest benefits for all citizens in terms of prosperity and quality of life. Government health care undoes this prosperity and quality of life.
