RICHFIELD — The Richfield Town Trust is sponsoring its Eighth Annual Historic Home and Garden Tour June 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The tour will begin at the Richfield Fellowship Hall, 3903 Broadview Road, where participants will pick up their program/ticket for the event. Complimentary beverages and cookies will be available throughout the day at the hall. Participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes (no spiked heels are allowed in the homes). No children younger than 12 are allowed on the tour, and it is not wheelchair accessible.  The event will be held rain or shine.

In addition to the homes on the tour, the Historical Museum of Richfield (located next door to the Fellowship Hall) will be open that day, as will a number of local businesses.

Presale tickets are $10, and tickets purchased the day of the event are $12. A boxed lunch may be ordered in advance for an additional $6. Lunches will include a croissant sandwich — choice of ham, turkey or vegetarian — coleslaw, fruit, chips, dessert and drink.

To purchase advance tickets and lunch, if desired, send appropriate payment — $10 for tour ticket and $6 for boxed lunch (check made payable to “Richfield Town Trust) — along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Historic Home and Garden Tour, Richfield Town Trust, 4300 W. Streetsboro Road, Richfield, OH 44286. If ordering lunch, indicate choice of sandwich. The deadline for advance ticket sales and purchase of lunch (must be pre-ordered) is June 9. Advance tickets also are available at Countryside Florist, Richfield Auto and ScripType Publishing. They also may be purchased via PayPal through the Richfield Historical Society’s website at www.richfieldohiohistoricalsociety.org.

A plant swap/sale also will be held the day of the tour, from 11 a.m. to sellout, on the grounds of the Fellowship Hall. Individuals may bring perennial plants or houseplants (divided or cuttings) in waterproof containers. All plants must be identified and labeled accordingly. Plants also will be available for purchase at nominal cost.

For more information about the tour, how to purchase tickets or details about the plant swap/sale, call 330-659-4750.
