Green basketball team wins championship

GREEN — The Green High School freshman basketball team finished the season with a 19-1 record and a first-place championship in the Al Smesko Tournament at Revere High School. They defeated Cuyahoga Falls 65-51 and Revere 43-37.

The team, shown at right, is coached by Assistant Principal Bill Bridenthal. Team members include John Davies, Cole Guello, David Kelly, Dylan Kimberly, Kevin Nowacki, Eddie Pearce, Dominik Pizzino, Aaron Pokorny, Grant Rebadow, Matthew Reppa and Daniel Stopp.
