Young anglers learn fishing techniques

COVENTRY — Young anglers learned how to cast flies during a special class on fly-fishing presented for beginners by Ohio Division of Wildlife officials at the Portage Lakes office May 16.

Division of Wildlife Outdoor Specialist Ken Fry is shown at left top talking about fly fishing during the class. Fry taught participants ages 10 to 15 basic skills required to cast flies. The class was followed by an opportunity to catch fish in the Portage Lakes Youth Fishing Area.

Shown at right top is a display of fly lures for use in fly fishing presented at the event.
