Girls on the Run 5K draws large number of participants

According to GOTR officials, the event had more than 1,200 participants, including GOTR program participants, coaches, friends and family. Shown at right are participants in the run.
GOTR of Greater Summit serves more than 450 girls at 29 different sites in Summit, Medina, Cuyahoga, Lorain and Portage counties, according to GOTR officials. The GOTR program combines training for a 5K running event with healthy living education that instills self-esteem through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships and physical training, according to GOTR officials.
