Revere U14 team wins GAASA tournament

BATH — The Revere U14 Minutemen (Division C1) won the Greater Akron Amateur Soccer Association (GAASA) postseason league championship tournament, besting Minerva 8-1 in the semifinals and shutting out Copley 4-0 in the June 3 final.

The Minutemen finished the regular season in second place with a record of 7-1-0, losing only to Copley.

The team, shown at right, from left, includes: (front row) Matt Fiedler, Noah Gresser, Drew Espinal, Matt Hoffman, Joel Harding, Ben Webster, Zane Van Fossen and Bryce Harding; and (back row) coach Dave Fiedler, Patrick Mehal, Stephen Kronenberger, Jacob Brokloff, Nathan Albert, Mark Oleson, Ian King, John Sternasty, Daniel Branch and coach John Rorabaugh.
