Internationals 96-Red team places fourth at nationals

COPLEY — The Internationals 96-Red (U15) soccer team recently received fourth-place honors at the U.S. Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) Nationals Championship, which took place in July in Rock Hill, S.C.

The season-long competition started at the state level with approximately 10,000 teams, where 926 teams earned tickets to regionals, and the winning 60 teams advanced to this national competition, according to team officials. The Internationals are coached by Keri Sarver, Zdravko Popovic and Alan Ceepo and include girls from across Northeast Ohio, including the following local players: Courtney Campbell and Brooke Brenner, of Copley High School (pictured at left, from left). Other local players include Taylor Ceepo, Holland Erb and Elle Cain School.
