DOWNTOWN AKRON — St. Vincent-St. Mary (STVM) High School’s defense was too much for Archbishop Hoban High School to overcome Sept. 21 at The University of Akron’s InfoCision Stadium.

The Fighting Irish defeated the Knights 48-20. Irish quarterback Clayton Uecker completed 17-of-24 passes for 329 yards and three touchdowns. He is shown at right middle, at right, as Hoban’s Jaleel Head tries to tackle him.

Shown at left is STVM’s Parris Campbell Jr. racing for a touchdown. He rushed for three touchdowns and gained 65 yards on 16 carries.

Shown at right bottom, at left, is Hoban’s Jake Tersigni (No. 3) escaping the grasp of STVM’s Aaron Adkins.

Shown at right top, at center, is Hoban’s Alex Muster (No. 10) celebrating after catching a second-quarter tipped pass in the end zone.

Both teams will play tomorrow, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. STVM will play Northwest High School at Northwest. Hoban will play at home against Lake Catholic High School.
