STVM defeats rival Hoban in football matchup

DOWNTOWN AKRON — St. Vincent-St. Mary (STVM) High School’s defense was too much for Archbishop Hoban High School to overcome Sept. 21 at The University of Akron’s InfoCision Stadium.
The Fighting Irish defeated the Knights 48-20. Irish quarterback Clayton Uecker completed 17-of-24 passes for 329 yards and three touchdowns. He is shown at right middle, at right, as Hoban’s Jaleel Head tries to tackle him.
