Special Olympics Medina team wins championship

MEDINA — The Special Olympics Medina County softball team won the state championship for a second year in a row.

Based on this win, the team, shown above, will be moved up to the next division for 2013, according to Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD) officials.
Kathy Miller, MCBDD Special Olympics coordinator, said the team worked hard all summer and scheduled extra practices.
