Area football players participate in Summit County All Star Game

DOWNTOWN AKRON — The third annual FBC Thanks4giving Summit County All Star Game took place Nov. 22 at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School’s stadium.

According to game officials, about 90 Summit County high school football players participated and were divided into two teams. The East squad was lead by Stow High School coach Mark Nori. The West team was under the leadership of Cuyahoga Falls High School coach Mike Miller.

The West team ended up the winner by a score of 36-24.

Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic was on hand for the opening coin toss and honor guard. Proceeds from the game were donated to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, according to game officials.
