Highland Hornets finish winning season

GRANGER — The Highland Hornets sixth-grade varsity football team finished the season with a 10–0 record, winning the championship in the Northern Ohio Youth Football Conference football league.

The team completed the season by scoring a total of 279 points while only giving up 6 points.

The team also traveled to Sandusky to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference State Championships and finished second in the Gold division. They defeated Elyria and Olentangy before losing to Marysville in the state championship game.

The team, shown at left, includes: Braeden Clements, Evan French, Jack Gale, Armin Gasser, Preston Gonser, Tyler Grafton, Carson Holowecky, Jack Hoynes, Jack Kohman, Blake Kucinski, Hunter Less, Nick McFadden, Jack McGinty, Charlie Myers, Jack Myers, Manny Penko, Jeff Pietrowski, Bryce Profitt, Jacob Rogers, Tyler Savron, Cole Tessena and Morgan Tifft.

The coaches are Scott Profitt, Ron Less, Greg Myers, Jeff Pietrowski, Jeff Rogers and Bruce Tessena.
