Copley boys soccer team wins championship

COPLEY — Six Copley Cosmos soccer teams won Greater Akron Amateur Soccer Association Championships Oct. 14 at the Copley Road Soccer Complex.

One of the champions was the U13 C1 boys team, which beat the Strikers 6-1 in the semifinals and Revere 3-1 in the finals.

The team, shown at right, from left, includes: (first row) Brennon Panovich, Grant Evans, Trevor Storm, Dylan Magensky, Michael Ruch and Logan Ohlin; and (second row) Kyle Geostis, Anthony Dente, Bryan Kline, Alec Srodawa, Dion Akhigbe, Evan Burton, Tommy Varley, Hunter Johnson and Evan Malpass. Not pictured is Jared Mattei.
