Copley U12 team wins championship

COPLEY — Six Copley Cosmos soccer teams won Greater Akron Amateur Soccer Association Championships Oct. 14 at the Copley Road Soccer Complex.

One of the champions was the U12 C1 boys team, which beat AMFC 1-0 in the semifinals and Highland 8-2 in the finals.

The team, shown at right, from left, includes: (first row) Adam Diefendorff, Ian Malpass, Daniel Brennan, Carson Knabe and Chris Painter; (second row) Ethan Rubino, Ethan Conwi, Charlie Drumm, Victor Hart, Porter Wilson, Connor Jacquin, Alex Heckman and Dave Antal; and (third row) Andy Rubino and Dan Jacquin. Not pictured is Adam Nedolast.
