Strong shooting gives Tallmadge win over Green

GREEN — The Green High School boys basketball team lost at home to Tallmadge High School 54-43 Jan. 10.

Leading the Bulldogs was Austin Marciniak with 26 points, followed by Kenton Keeslar with 11 points.

Shown at right top is Green’s Landon Hall (No. 32), at left, trying to drive past Tallmadge’s Andrew Francesconi.

Bulldog Carson Corle (No. 34), shown at right bottom, at center, tries to shoot while being guarded by Tallmadge’s Joseph Vassalotti. Corle finished the game with two points.

Before the game, Green High School graduate David Lough, an outfielder who was recently traded from the Kansas City Royals to the Baltimore Orioles, was honored with a ceremony retiring his No. 5 Green jersey. For more on that, see Page 1.

Green next will play Nordonia High School tonight, Jan. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Nordonia.
