Hoban defeats Walsh in close game

CUYAHOGA FALLS — A 3-pointer by Archbishop Hoban High School’s Christian Waite with seconds left on the clock led the visiting Knights to a 48-47 win over Walsh Jesuit High School Jan. 24.

Waite (No. 4), shown at right top, at left, attempting a layup, ended the game with 18 points.

Hoban’s Anthony Christian followed Waite with 14 points. Christian (No. 10) is shown below, at right, trying to get past Walsh’s Nick Schlosser (No. 10).

Walsh’s Dom Mittiga (No. 34) was the top scorer for the Warriors with 28 points. He is shown above at center, shooting the ball.

Shown at right bottom is Hoban’s Jonah Morris (No. 23) attempting a layup while Walsh’s Max Siwik (No. 5) tries to block the shot.

Both teams will play tomorrow, Jan. 31, at 7:30 p.m.

Walsh will play at home against Padua Franciscan High School.

Hoban will play Lake Catholic High School at Lake Catholic.
