Revere defeats Copley in league battle
By Kathleen Collins
COPLEY — The Revere High School football team ended the season Oct. 29 with a night to remember.
Not only did the Minutemen defeat Suburban League rival Copley High School 21-7 at Copley, the team finished second in the league. The game also was the last for two longtime Revere coaches — head coach Terry Cistone and assistant coach Fred Tomei, who both announced their plans to retire at the end of the season. Cistone, shown at left bottom walking with the team, served the Minutemen for seven years as head coach and 12 as assistant coach, according to Revere officials. Tomei, current Bath Elementary School principal, has been a coach with the Revere football program for 23 years, according to Revere officials. He is shown at left top in the photo at top far right in the press box during the game.
