A home audit is an inspection of one’s home done not coinciding with the sale of the property but instead as part of routine upkeep to keep the home more livable and safer on a continuing basis.

For a home audit, RC Lann suggests the homeowner: write down any questions to ask the inspector; plan on accompanying the home inspector, if they wish, for the inspection; let the inspector know of upgrades, mechanical repairs and service contracts; ensure the way into the electrical box and panel is available; and allow about two hours time for the entire home-inspection process.

HUDSON — Life is Good® has chosen Hudson as home for its first Ohio-based Jake’s Good Life store, according to company officials. The store is located at First & Main.

The new Jake’s Good Life store exclusively sells Life is Good-branded products, including men’s and women’s sportswear and loungewear, children’s apparel, products for pets and home décor items.

Owners Randy Baun and Patrick Randall relocated to Hudson from Butler, Pa., to open the store.

“First & Main Shopping District provided the perfect fit for the Life is Good merchandise,” Baun said. “The demographics for the store are outstanding here in Hudson, and the Life is Good company is excited to have found the ideal, family-oriented community for the first Ohio endeavor.”
