What makes you the better candidate?
“I am the best candidate because of my proven record of Leadership, Financial Responsibility and Accountability. Since I have been the Clerk of Courts, I have increased revenue by millions of dollars by successfully relocating our branch offices to better serve our title customers and to increase public access to our offices, I have instituted a Court Cost collection program to hold defendants responsible for their financial obligation to the Court, and by partnering with other county offices and agencies to share services and save valuable tax dollars.
“I have also implemented leading edge technologies, like a mobile web application and website upgrades, to increase efficiencies and provide better public access to our office. I also am leading the technology integration project between the Clerk’s office, the Domestic Relation’s Court, and the Prosecutor’s office.
“I have provided $1m to the Court and the Sheriff’s office to continue their critical public safety operations. My peers have recognized my efforts across the State of Ohio by selecting me as the incoming President of the Ohio Clerk of Courts Association, and by my appointment to the Ohio Supreme Court’s Rules of Superintendence and State Task Force on the Funding for Ohio Courts.”

What makes you the better candidate?
“The Summit County Clerk of Courts is at the core of the judicial system. As a Judicial Attorney with over 15 years of judicial system experience, I have the ability and experience to work with the Courts and their staff, local attorneys, and litigants. I also possess the necessary knowledge of the law and how to apply the law. It is my goal to maintain the processes and procedures that are currently working well within the Summit County Clerk of Court; and to evaluate and change the ones that are not.
“I have dedicated my professional career thus far to public service and would provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to the public, members of the bar and the Courts served by the Clerk. My personal philosophies are proactive and optimistic, but realistic and dedicated. The combination of my education, professional experience and personal philosophies make me the best candidate for the position of Summit County Clerk of Court.”
