LAKEMORE — Lakemore Village ushered in the holiday season with a Tree Lighting ceremony at the Municipal Hall Nov. 24.

The annual event began with the arrival of Santa Claus aboard a fire engine, shown at right bottom. The jolly old elf then was asked to flick a switch to light up the village holiday tree, pictured at left with Kathy Metzgar, at left, and Patty Csonka.

Afterward, residents were invited to enjoy refreshments and entertainment. This year, the entertainment included the Springfield High School Spartaneers performing a variety of holiday songs at the event. Shown at top right, from left, are Spartaneers Ami George, Abbey Wallis and Megan Smith singing for the crowds.

Children attending the ceremony were able to visit with Santa Claus. Shown at right middle is Aiden Triplett, 4, sharing his holiday wishes with Santa.
